I'm most pleased to announce the release of an album I had the pleasure of producing in the great Finnish capital city of Helsinki in February 2016 by the multi-talented kantele player/songwriter/ singer/percussionist/energy bundle, Maija Kauhanen. It's finally surfaced on the Nordic Notes label and it's already attracting some excellent reviews. Finnish news magazine HBL said this: "Have I nothing negative to say? No, not really. Maija Kauhanen has made one of the year's best albums, dare I say even though there is still much left of 2017". Download or order CD here.

And you can read my little account of the recording sessions here on my blog page.

At last it's here! The new Camel DVD: Ichigo Ichie - recorded live in Tokyo in May 2016. I was delighted once more to be treading the boards with Andrew Latimer and Denis Clement and we were all extremely happy to introduce the remarkable Peter Jones on keyboards, vocals and flutey whistley thing.

We all had a highly enjoyable time and so did the audiences. You can too! Get yours from the Camel Productions shop. And you can read my account of our Japanese adventure in my blog here.

Here is the News ...

Pleased to announce the release of another CD which I helped to guide into being. Namely the new album from my friend Alhousseini Anivolla, entitled 'Osas!' which means in Tamashek, 'It's Time!'. Recorded and mixed by myself in Wild End Studio last summer. It's always a pleasure working with Alhous. I produced two albums for his band Etran Finatawa (one of which was recorded in a tent in the Sahara - read about that adventure here). I'm also playing bass on this new one and Alhousseini is playing everything else and singing of the situation in his home country of Niger, the challenges facing the Touareg people and his hope for peace and understanding. A contemporary Desert Blues troubadour wandering between the worlds.

Here's a review from Rhythm Passport
